WGS  would like to inform you of an opportunity for pitchers ages 11 -16 years old.

There will be two 3-week session pitching clinics on Thursday nights at the Braintree Armory located at 275 Union Street, Braintree 

Session 1 : January 19, 26, February 2 from 6pm-7pm 
Session 2:  February 9, 16, & 23 from 6pm -7pm  

Cost is $60/pitcher for 1 session of 3 weeks . Payment is due in cash upon first attendance.  
There are about 6 or 7 spots left available at this point. The clinics  will be cover everything from basic mechanics of pitching, ball location, and pitches (specifically depending on the pitcher). So if any of you know of any pitchers you would like to further develop or advanced pitchers in need of some more pitches for their season please have them contact me at this email address k,  or my cell # 781-223-4192.

WGS would like to announce a great opportunity for your daughter to get some off-season training.

HARVARD UNIVERSITY is hosting 2 types of clinics based on age:

They are holding a clinic for softball players in grades 1-8 this month!

The clinic will be held on Sunday, January 29 from 9am-12pm.

 

They will also be holding a clinic for high school aged players (grades 9-12) in February.

That clinic will be held on Sunday, February 12 from 9:30am-12:30pm.

The league is open to all Weymouth Girls ages 6 - 14.  The season runs from the week after April vacation until the end of the shool year.  The league offers the following levels of play:

PeeWee Division (ages 6 & 7) - Instructional clinic style, meets once a week, usuually Saturday afternoon to teach the youngest players the fundamentals of the game.

Minors Division (ages 8-10) - Combination instructional/game play.  Usually meets twice a week for the combination practice/game.

Majors Division (ages 11-14) - Two games per week.  Periodic practices throughout the season.  Standings are ke with playoffs at the end of the season. (all teams make the playoffs).


Registration Deadline is February 1, 2012
$10.00 late fee for registraions received after February 1st and player's name will be put on waiting list with no guarantee of placement on a team.
